Use of Language: Grammar, Word Choice, Voice -

Distinguished 100%-94%
Poised, clear articulation; Proper volume; Steady rate; Enthusiasm; Confidence; speaker is comfortable in front of group.

Proficient 93%-85%
Clear articulation but not as poised; Slightly uncomfortable; Student pronounces most words correctly.

Basic 84%-75%
Audience occasionally has trouble hearing presentation; Seems uncomfortable; Student incorrectly pronounces terms.

Unacceptable 74% and below
Presenter is obviously anxious and cannot be heard or monotone with little or no expression; Students mumbles, incorrectly pronounce terms.


Eye Contact -

• Distinguished 100%-94% 
Maintains eye contact with audience throughout the entire presentation. Presentation is like a planned conversation.

• Proficient 93%-85%
Students maintain eye contact most of the time.

• Basic 84%-75%
Some eye contact, but not maintained at least half the time.

• Unacceptable 74% and below
No eye contact.


Personal Appearance -

• Distinguished 100%-94%
Full uniform; Personal appearance is completely appropriate for the occasion and audience.

• Proficient 93%-85%
For the most part, personal appearance is appropriate for the occasion and the audience.

• Basic 84%-75%
Personal appearance is somewhat inappropriate for the occasion sand audience.

• Unacceptable 74% and below
Personal appearance is inappropriate for the occasion and audience.

• Distinguished 100%-94%
Involved the audience in the presentation; Held the audience's attention throughout.

• Proficient 94%-85%
Presented facts t=with some interesting "twists"; Held the audience's attention most of the time.

Some related facts but went off topic and lost the audience.

Gold Chrome Tutorial





Step 1: Type your text. Put a Selection around your text by holding the Apple key and click once on your type layer.


Step 2: Go under the select menu and choose save selection. Click OK.

Step 3: Deselect. Delete your type layer.

Step 4: Go under the channel palette (Window--Channels) and click on Alpha 1. Go under the Filter menu, under Blur, and choose Gaussian Blur. Enter 1 px. Click OK.

Step 5: Return to the layers palette and click once on the background layer. Go under Filter menu, under the Render, and choose lighting effects. When the dialog box appears, change Texture channel to Alpha 1. Then click OK.

Step 6: Go under the image menu, under Adjustments and choose Curves. Change the input to 186 and the output to 64. Click OK.

Step 7: Go under the select menu and choose Load selection. Choose Alpha 1 from the pop up menu. Click OK.

Step 8: Go under the select menu, under Modify and choose expand. Enter 3 Pixels. Click OK.

Step 9: Press Shift+Apple+J.

Step 10: In the layer palette, click once on the background layer. Press Apple+A. Press Delete.

Step 11: Deselect. Click on the text layer in the layers palette. Add a Drop shadow. Click OK.

Step 12:  Add A color overlay. Change the blending mode to overlay. Click the color swatch. R=208, G=165, B=16. Click OK.
